Mid Century California Studio Pottery Vase Weed Pot by Don Jennings

Exceptional large dynamic California Mid Century Modern studio pottery vase by Don Jennings. Raised circular forms cover the circumference incised around each and glazed in shades of blue and tan with accents of brown, black and green. Excellent vintage condition with minimal light wear. Large size 10.5”H x 8.5”W/D.

Don Jennings was a ceramic artist based in Orange County, California, active as an instructor and artist throughout the 1960s and 1970s. He taught ceramics for over 35 years at Orange Coast College.

His work is recognized for its contributions to mid-century modern pottery, characterized by clean lines and the use of natural materials. His pieces often blend functionality with artistic expression, reflecting the experimental forms and techniques common in mid-century ceramics.

This is a vintage item that has been loved and enjoyed for decades, and while well cared for, has typical age appropriate wear.
