Mid Century Modern Danish Teak Dining Set, Table and 4 Chairs, by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard for Soborg Mobelfabrik Circa 1950’s. Set includes four model 317 Armchairs in solid teak with original woven paper cord seats, and solid teak dining table with curved frame and brass ball detailing.

The dining table is an uncommon model, typically only seen in the side table or coffee table version. The top and legs are constructed of solid teak (quite unusual for the top to be solid planks opposed to veneers) with gently curved frame accented with brass ball details giving it a lovely silhouette. Comes with glass top to protect the table surface.

The dining chairs are an iconic danish design, Model 317 armchairs, also constructed of solid teak, seats are woven paper cord.

Original vintage condition, table top, and chair arms/backrests exhibit typical age appropriate cosmetic finish wear and discoloration. Papercord seats are slightly loose on two chairs but completely in tact, stable and functional, and have been used as such for decades without issue. Typical scuffs and spots of discoloration to legs.
